Lynn tells us about the practices of just advertising on the social networks without developing relationships, and abusing the ability to put links and other aggressive ways of self-promotion. Google and other search engines have “slapped” and blacklisted sites and authors for these practices.
There is a whole new definition of spam because of this type of behavior. I didn’t understand it myself until I accepted a new twitter contact, and clicked through to the only link that was posted there, to see porn! Yes, that was a spam twitter contact!
