What is so great about being a Powerful Woman?

I do want to hear what everyone thinks…. please post comments here on my blog.

Sometimes it is hard. You have the responsibility, people look to you for encouragement and energy and direction. I was reading today an article about growing older, and there were wonderful quotes that i cannot find again (!) basically saying that getting older is better than the alternatives of not being here at all.

I am so grateful for being a woman alive today in a culture that lets me be who I am. I think about being restricted in a time or culture where women could not freely get education or be in positions of power, and I know that I would not survive. I live to learn and grow and be free!

I love that I am alive in a time and place where my husband lets me be the one with power a lot of the time, he supports me in love and respect, and lets me be who I am.

What is so great about being a powerful woman? I think you hit the nail on the head; we live in a country where we can be whatever we want, from a stay at home Mom to President of the U.S. To me, that is the power: CHOICE!! If we do choose to be the “powerful” one in a relationship, whether it’s about income or decision making, we need to be sure it’s an agreeable decision w/ our spouse or other half. But if that is the only obstacle to “power” and power struggles, we must consider ourselves so very lucky to have that choice without society or government imposing obstacles as well. Barb Lelli
